Having been a long time residents of Westport we were familiar with the ups and downs of the market but hadn’t realized the market had weaken and become more sluggish in the intervening 9 months since our initial meeting. Barbara’s analysis of the current market was very thorough and while disappointing from a pricing perspective it clearly demonstrated her grasp and knowledge of the market fundamentals. Recognizing that we wanted a quick sale her rationale and recommendations in terms of timing, staging and pricing were spot on as we received 6 offers over asking price within a few days after the house was put on the market and traded for $101,000 over asking. This was the first time we had sold any kind of real estate and somewhat complicating the process was our physical absence from Westport during this period. As a result, Barbara literally stepped in and drove the process from the contract negotiation, building inspection follow-up items, clearing up old construction permits, etc. to final settlement.
